Function of Literature Tradition and Knowledge Growth

文学传统具有两种功能 ,一是作为源泉和背景 ,在持续的积累和扩展中推动文学的发展 ;一是提供批判和扬弃的契机 ,激发变革创新以促进文学的发展。这两个方面都具有知识增长的意义 ,在文学发展的演进过程、自身规律。

Literature tradition has two functions: one is to push forward the development of literature in constant accumulation and enlargement as the source and background; the other is to provide the opportunity for criticism and for developing or discarding, to excite the change and innovation to promote literature development. These two help knowledge grow and play an important role in evolvement, self-law and psychological basis of literature development.
