The style of Tao Yuanming’s pastoral poetry is prosaic and lucid, just like a picture of idyllic country life with sentiment. The formation of his style is the result of his artistic ingenuity. In this paper the prosaic artistic style of TaoYuanming’s poetry is to be approached in theme choice, use of straightforward skill, simple and lucid poetry language and the formation of state with emotions, scenery and truth.
