The paper attempts to explain the usefulness of Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) in medicine, the component equipments of the system, and its present state and future development, simultaneously also suggests here some basic conceptions for eslablishing the transfer of medical informations within a hospital or between various hospitals, regions, and nations so that performing the clinical consultation, observation, and teaching with remote or short range.
