A Brief Exposition of Kant's Genius Theory

康德对天才的论述,一方面继承了前人的某些理论成果,另一面又独辟蹊径,作出了自己独特的贡献。他从自己的哲学体系出发,通过对美的分析,揭示出艺术的特征,进而再揭示出创造艺术的主体——天才的特殊性。尤为可贵的是,康德在自己的哲学构架中,着重探讨了天才的心理特征,其中某些论述对后来产生了深远影响。

Kant’s exposition of genius carried on some theoretical results of the fore-fathers on the one hand, and made his own contribution, on the other hand. Through analysis of beauty, he brought to light the characteristics of arts from the angle of his own philosophy system, and delineated further the particularity-of the main body of art-creating-----the genius. It is especially valuable thatKant laid stress on discassion the psychological characteristics of the genius in his philosophy structure, some comments of which have a far-going influence on othe Later genelations.
