Status and potentiality of applying DNA molecular markers to genetic study on wheat stripe rust was summarized in this paper.It involved gene marker,gene cloning,gene mapping and marker assisted selection and so on.At the same time,some typical examples were also enumerated.The methods of DNA molecular open up prospects for the studies of the wheat resistance to stripe rust.
