The Study of The Influence of Contrast and White-point Setting on Perceived Image Quality

在不同文化背景下 ,人们对图像的视觉感知[1 ,2 ] 存在着差异。通过三组在CRT电视机上显示静态图片 (附录1)的实验 ,本文主要研究了不同对比度、白场设置对色彩再现、清晰度和图像质量的影响。为了比较不同文化背景的影响 ,荷兰Philips公司和中国东南大学分别进行了类似的实验。本文综合三组实验的结果 。

On account of different cultural backgrounds, everybody has visual perception of his own. In our experiments,the influence of different contrast values and white point settings on colorfulness, sharpness and perceived image quality are researched. In order to compare the influence of Chinese background with that of European, the image quality assessments have been repeated in Philips Displays. This paper has the preferred contrast and white point setting analyses.
