Economic globalization is a result of the sustained development of productivity and science and technology of human society.It has experienced so sustained a development as to produce major qualitative differences and changes and form a historical course with powerful development as tentency in the contemporary era.The economic globalization ‘in essence’ is one still dominated by capitalism.The economic globalization is both confronting socialism with a severe challenge and meeting a rare opportunity for development. How to observe, grasp and handle the developmental trend of economic globalization, and, based on holding firmly to the fundamental tenets of scientific socialism, sustainedly move forward our great cause of building socialism with Chinese characteristics is a major actuality which we must further study and probe.
