摘要
一穷二白是美国西部开发时的现实国情 ,在短短不足百年的时间里 ,美国西部开发取得惊人的成就 ,不仅改变了西部面貌 ,也改写了美国历史。其间政府干预功不可没 。
When the USA began to open up the western part of it was in a poverty-stricken condition.However,in less than one hundred years,remarkable achievements were made in the area.This changed not only the western part of the country,but also the history of it.In this period,the impact of the USA government played a very important role in the opening-up.
