In the new period,colleges and universities libraries should base their work concerning periodicals on today,focus their attention to the futrue,and set up a standard characteristic guarantee system for periodicals and documents.They should develop fully and make good use of periodicals in order to both satisfy the present needs of teaching and scientific research and lay the foundation for resources sharing.
