By systematic analysis of Jack London's superman complex,this article points out that there exist great contradictions in his social belief and life philosophy.While embracing Karl Marx's Socialism,he also believes in Herbert Spencer's Social Darwinism and Nietzsche's Superman Ideology.He tries to combine these incompatible ideas in his works.As a result he writes many books that reflect the social reality and advocate revolution as well as many books that glorify the superman and the strong.His superman complex is the inevitabl consequence of his conflicting ideas.
