“证”概念探讨

Investigation of Syndrome Conception

证是中医学的重要基本概念 ,但学术界对它的理解与定义存在分歧与混乱。通过回顾历史上证的文字演变过程及中医学对“证”字的运用情况 ,探讨证的概念。指出历史上证曾有三种含义 :一指疾病的现象 ,二指病 ,三指疾病某一阶段的病理概括。认为目前证的确切定义是 :机体在疾病发展过程中的某一阶段的病理概括。

Syndrome is an important basic concept in traditional Chinese medicine,but dispute and chaos on its understanding and definition exist in the academic circle.In the investigation of syndrome conception by reviewing the character evolution of syndrome in history and application of 'syndrome' character in Chinese medicine,the authors point out that three kinds of implication used to exist in the character of syndrome in the history:first,it referred to phenomenon of disease,secondly,it referred to disease,and thirdly it referred to the pathological summarization in a certain period of the disease.The authors believe that the precise definition of syndrome in the current times is a pathological summarization of the certain period of the organism during the development of the disease.
