A BRIEF INTRODUTION TO CVI AND SOME SUGGESTIONS

海岸脆弱性指数(CVI)评价是最近以来关于未来海平面上升对海岸系统变化的有关可能性的研究方法,它将与海岸变化有关的6个变量以定量研究的形式相联系起来,并在此基础上绘制各岸段的CVI图。CVI可应用于海岸带管理的许多决策方面。作者对未来海平面变化的研究工作提出了几点建议。

The coastal vulnerability index (CVI) , which employs six physical variables, is used to estimate the potential physical changes of the coastal system due to the future sea level rise. CVI maps are available based on the calculated values of CVI for each section of the shoreline. The information related CVI has been applied to many of aspects of decisionmaking in coastal zone management. Some suggestions about the research work on future sea level changes are put forward.
