Fast Switch of IP Multicast

随着视频点播、视频会议、远程教育等多播应用的普及,多播分组在路由器中的转发已不能满足日益增长的带宽需求,第三层交换机能以线速处理数据包,能极大地减轻路由器的负载,提高分组的转发速度。对IP多播分组的转发技术进行了讨论,着重探讨了在第三层交换机中的快速转发、转发存在的问题以及目前的三种解决方案。

With the wide use of IP multicast in th e VOD,netmeeting,long -distance ed ucation,transfer speed of IP multicast package in the router is so slow as to limit t he speed of internet.The layer 3switch can deal with data package in l ine speed,so It improves the speed of package sw itch and consequent-ly alleviates load of router.This paper explains what is switch technolo gy of IP Multicast package and dis-cuss what is the fast Switch of IP mult icast in the layer 3switch.But fast s witch of IP multicast can not per-form very well in the layer 3switch ,i n order to solve the problem existing in the layer 3switch,three solu-tion measures are introduced and com pared.
