Landscape ecotone is a new field of the landscape ecology research.This article includes the discussion about the types,nature and edge effects of the landscape ecotone as well as the study of the ecotone's features and functions.It indicates that the dynamic changes of landscape ecotone are the special instructions on oases ecological environment evolution.To adjust,control and stabilize the ecotone is an important way of the sustainable development of oases ecosystem.
