异化——翻译的必然趋势

FOREIGNIZATION:INEVITABLE TREND OF TRANSLATION

异化和归化的翻译策略在译界争论已久 ,一些人士认为二者应该并存 ,在实际操作中灵活处理以求得最佳平衡点。本文结合异化的优点 ,从二者的矛盾对立出发 ,提出在两点论的前提下坚持重点论 ,指明在文化全球化的时代背景下 ,异化是翻译的必然趋势。

As two translation techniques, foreignization and naturalization have been discussed heatedly in the translation circle. Some hold the two should be paid equal attention to and dealt with flexibly so as to achieve a balance. On the ground of the law of unity of opposites, the present author argues that, taking its merits into consideration, foreignization is bound to become the mainstream of translation method in the context of the cultural globalization.
