The Seeds of the New Urban Pattern of Dongjing-the Capital of the Song Dynasty

邸店与新兴行市在北宋东京大量产生 ,首先集中在沿汴河两岸 ,随后向全城扩展 ,街市在它们的带动下生成并壮大 ,由此改变了整个城市的形态秩序 ,所以邸店与行市可称作是宋东京城市新秩序的种子。

Firstly distributed along the Bian River and then spread all over the city,a great number of hotels and new type marketplaces emerged in Dongjing of the Song Dynasty. These hotels and markets could be thought as the seeds of the new urban pattern of Dongjing because they promoted the growth and prosperity of Dongjings downtown streets and therefore changed the physical order of the city.
