惠施科学思想实质代表着中国古代科学的一种研究传统 ,其概念基础的重要来源之一是他的自然哲学思想 ,即广延空间观以及由此形成的有机宇宙论。本文基于此 ,阐释了惠施在天文。

Hui Shis philosophy of science is concerned with astronomy, geography and mathematics, which is unique in the history of science in China; its foundation of concept is his philosophy of nature that created a new spatial view with the concept of extension, thus formed a theory of organic universe.
