人类的SSX基因家族包括5个成员:SSXl,SSX2,SSX3,SSX4和SSX5,它们都位于X染色体上.这5个基因有很高的序列同源性:碱基序列有88%-95%同源;所编码188个氨基酸残基构成的蛋白质有77%-91%同源.它们所编码的蛋白质中含有KRAB(Kruppelassociatedbox).SSX蛋白质也是癌/睾丸抗原(CT:Cencer/testisantingns)中的成员.研究SSX基因结构、基因表达等对于肿瘤免疫疗法的建立具有重要意义.
Human SSX gene family is comprised of five members, including SSX1 SSX2 SSX3 SSX4 and SSX5 genes. They are localized on the X chromosome. The SSX genes exhibit nucleotide homologies ranging from 88 to 95% and encode proteins(188aa) that exhibit homologies ranging from 77to 91%. The N-terminal portion of each SSX protein exhibits homology to the Kruppel - associated box (KRAB). The SSX proteins are members of still growing family of CT antigens (cancer/testis antigens). It is very important to study the structure and expression of SSX genes that may serve as targets to built and apply immunothera-py of all tumors.)
