The Differences and Similarities of Accepting Western Civilization between China and Japan

从“东洋”、“西洋”的概念变化中 ,来比较中日两国在吸收“西洋文明”中所采取的“中体西用”、“文明开化”

Both China and Japan were absorbing the 'western culture', they took respectively the policies of 'westernization of Chinese culture' and 'civilization enlightenment'. The differences and similarities between China and Japan in the process of their accepting western civilization are compared from the changing of the notions--'the East' and 'the West'.
