By reviewing mainly the thoughts of outstanding historical figures of different historical stages and different fields of study, the Critical Biographies Chinese Thinkers , edited by Kuang Yarning, is a research on the Chinese intellectual history and even the general framework, the internal theoretical structure and the pattern of development of the overall Chinese intellectual tradition. The expansion of research scope, the construction of the theoretical system and the improvement in research methodology are of great value and significance to the research to Chinese intellectual history.
