This paper reviewed the worldwide current status and development trend in the field of novel polyolefin speciality resins, and analyzed the gap in this aspect between China and its overseas counterpart. A suggestion was presented for the domestic development strategy of polyolefin speciality resins, which involved strengthening general - purpose resin market, making rational division of work in the trade, taking over the market of processing on order and expanding technological reserve of polymerization process and catalyst system.
