摘要 西方教育的传统方法,亦即"传递使命"模式,植根于公元7-8世纪的修道院学校以及其后的13-14世纪的早期欧洲大学(诺勒斯,1980).同样地,"质量"教育的历史也有几百甚至几千年的历史.重要的一点在于指出,决定质量的背景是历史性地受到教育的目的和教育所服务的人的限制的.在二十一世纪的黎明,我们正在如此费力地试图整齐划-地评估教育活动中的质量,因为无论是教育的目的、方法或是教育服务的对象都与历史上正规教育的对应部分全然不同了:教育传输方法变得越来越复杂,学生人口的组成越来越多样化.事实上只是在最近的25年里,"开放"教育和"远程"教育的扩张才确实对过去那些不可能或没有能力追求正规教育的人的获得教育的可能产生了影响.
