Moriyamadaido:A Foreland Photographer in Japan

三十余年来,森山大道一直站立在日本摄影的最前沿,他具有日本民族特色的摄影风格以及对于时代的敏锐反映得到了全世界的承认。他说,“我手里拿着相机在都市的路上行走时,实际上有很多人和事物跳进我的眼睛和意识里。那个时候的我就有了强烈的拍摄感觉,作为一个摄影家,这是最有兴趣和最能感觉到快感的一瞬间。”

Moriyamadaido's works are always shocking by the sight for they are full of deray,roughness,angst,discomposure and even violence.Through his works,people see a subjective presentation of personal feelings colliding with realistic surroundings which reflects youthful puzzlement, defiance and doubts as well as the helplessness,desperation and unbalances of middle age. The reality of Japan helps to shape his distinctive style of photography, which,as regarded by him,is not a form of art but a media to track record of the reality.In such a modern society,the only way to reflect the reality is to collide with it with the camera. For more than 30 years Moriyamadaido has been standing on the foreland of photography in Japan and the world applauds his works that keep truly Japanese features and exquisitely reflect the society.Unexpectedly he could always show people a world they rarely know and transform things in life into luscious brilliance.Strong contrasts in his works set free people's feelings and impact upon their minds.His personal exhibition held in Shanghai presents the works he took during 2004 and 2005 in Buenos Aires,a city that he has so much longing since childhood and that is coated with endless sexiness in his understanding.
