Majoring in Tibetan Architecture,he cherishes an inborn passion for the art. This is he.Dadou is said to be a very lovely guy by his friends. And to him,art is a great“fun”.In 1998,he was by chance invited to give a small exhibition by a small gallery, which was the first for him.An etching painting exhibition led him to know Xu Zhen, Yang Fudong,Yang Zhenzhong,Tang Maohong and other yet-to-be-successful artists at that time.A vague idea began to hit his mind:the presentation of a space for the avant-garde art.Given the accelerating internationalization of China's modern art market, and the possibility of its being a“hard currency”,Dadou's BizArt has already been an important art center in Shanghai,China, and even in the whole Asia. The establishment of BizArt is aimed at having soaring success both in business and art(BizArt is the compound word for business and art).Fourteen years has passed and now Le Dadou finally can be relaxed in saying that we are heading closer and closer to this target.According to the report by The Guardian, the mainstream media in UK on 9 November 2004,“The Supermarket-Modern Art Exhibition is the milestone in China's modern art and it is also the first time in Shanghai to have the avant-garde art exhibition with the biggest size at a commercial gallery.”And Le Dadou was defined by The Guardian as the one who has promoted to a certain degree the booming development of the modern art in Shanghai for the past decade. And Qiu Zhijie,an artist called the change“a shift from the guerrilla forces to the regular troops”.
