明媚的六、七月,是南方艺术品拍卖的节日。在此期间,沪上大大小小的艺术品拍卖此起彼伏、集中上演,缤纷的艺术品和最新的拍卖成绩,为2006年艺术品市场添上了完整的一笔。流火八月,仍将有重要拍卖和夺目拍品值得期待。

Before spring auctions in the North were well settled, art market in the South was right on its way. From late June to early July, various auctions in Shanghai all presented well-prepared and characteristic spring artistic feasts. Spring auction in the South on the whole have carried on the development of that in the North: contemporary arts have an upsurge in bargain, even influenced Paris in faraway Europe; the artistic value of ancient paintings and calligraphy has been gradually recognized and affirmed; neoteric paintings and calligraphy were still in an adjusting period, with buyers taking a wait-and- see attitude: porcelain and jade gadgets were still tame, with great works gaining in attention, and normal pieces winning no response. Artworks in roitous profusion and the latest achievement in auction have well punctuated the 2006 art market. In the fire-like August, key auctions and outstanding pieces are still to be expected.
