Chris Nash. The photographer only uses a broad picture to concentrate the most unique image, showing people our understanding and representation of dancing. Since more than 20 years ago,Chris was deeply allured by modern dancing, and he began to take pictures and design posters in the field. In 1977,he took his first photograph of dancing. The maiden work, bearing the name“Helen”,won him 50 pounds worth of darkroom equipments in a photograph contest.“I like dances, sculptures and photography, and dancing photography is the best means to integrate them.”Chris said. The dancers in his photos, whether they are women or men, whether dressed or naked, all of them have a distinct touch like sculptures, with rich and unique lines and powerful expressive force.Even through the paper, viewers can clearly sense the energy and inner world that the dancers had been releasing right at that moment.
