The Project of InterPARES: where it has been and where it is going

"电子系统中文件真实性永久保障国际合作项目"(Inter PARES)已经持续了18年,研究兴趣始终着重于数字文件管理与保存带来的问题与挑战。基于该项目第一、第二研究阶段所取得的理论与方法论的成果,第三阶段侧重于将研究成果应用于中、小档案机构的实践,第四阶段则将研究进一步转移到文件的可信性领域这一日益引起全球关注的课题。本文介绍了整个项目前三个阶段的主要成就,并概述了第四阶段迄今为止产生的研究成果。同时也简介了该项目下一步的研究计划与方向。

The InterPARES(International Research on Permanent Authentic Records in Electronic Systems) project has been running consecutively for 18 years with an enduring research interest on the issues and challenges imposed by digital records as to their management and preservation. Based on the theoretical and methodological knowledge developed during its first and second phases, its third phase focused on the application of the knowledge into the preservation practice of small and medium-size archival institutions and its fourth phase moved the inquiry further into the sphere of trust-a topic has increasingly caused the attention around the world. This paper introduces the major milestones of the projects' first 3 phases and presents a summary of the developments of the fourth phase that have so far produced. It concludes with a brief introduction on the next direction that the project intends to move towards.
