摘要从美国英语的形成至今 ,它已经走过了近四百年的历程。美国英语的发展经历了一段从小到大 ,由弱到强的过程 ,正在成为一种世界性的语言。本文利用大量的事实和证据详细地论述和探讨美国英语的过去 ,现在和未来。论文分为四个部分 :美国英语的起源 ,发展 ,传播和普及以及未来的发展趋势。 From its birth to the present day, American English has gone through a period of nearly four hundred years, its growth being mainly characterized by the process from small to big, weak to strong. American English is now fast becoming a world language. The current paper, based on adequate facts and evidence, expounds and studies the past, the present and the future of American English. The thesis is made up of four parts, dealing mainly with the origin, rise, growth, popularity and the future of American English. It is good and useful for us to understand and study American English.
