A new theory introduced firstly in the this paper is the gradual progress of the coupling of living things with their environment along the annals of the earth. And after a brief analysis of the evolution of the man_land relationship, a conclusion is reached that man_land relationship is also evolved through a coupling manner. Finally, extending from the conclusion drawn,this paper holds that human beings should maintain a harmonious man_land relationship so as to achieve a sustainable development for themselves.
