The differences among form words are an aspect which we should study with strengthened efforts. The prepositions of modern Chinese have a variety of differences in origin, style, syllable and form. Those differences not only manifest the individuality of prepositions, but also affect prepositions' collocation, their position of distribution, grammatical function, meaning, usage, etc. This essay describes and explores those differences in detail so as to show the individuality of prepositions of modern Chinese.
