On the Teaching of Extracurricular Reading in Primary Schools

在一个人的人生中,阅读显得尤为重要。而小学作为人生中的第一个起点,养成课外阅读的习惯刻不容缓。但是在过去的教学中,小学语文教学常常以强行向学生灌输知识点为主要方式,使学生在接受教育后仍缺乏自主寻求知识的能力。因此,在新课程改革的要求下,语文教学逐渐向让学生有能力自主获取知识为目的靠拢,课外阅读所占比例也逐渐增加。

Reading is particularly important during one’s whole life. As the first starting point in life,developing the good habit of extracurricular reading in primary schools is imperative. However,in the past,the primary Chinese teaching often focuses on passing down knowledge to students,but they still lack the ability to seek knowledge independently. Therefore,under the requirements of the new curriculum reform,Chinese teaching is gradually drawing closer to the self-learning ability of students and increasing the proportion of extracurricular reading.
