Strategies for Developing Thinking Ability in College English Teaching

大学生的思辨能力培养也是高校人才培养目标的一部分,因此作为大学生必修的大学英语课堂,也可成为培养学生思辨能力的有效途径。本文通过回顾思辨能力的概念和思辨缺席,着重探讨在大学英语课堂上有哪些可行性渠道可以培养学生的思辨能力,并进一步论证学生思辨能力的提高对其四级写作有促进作用。

The cultivation of students’ thinking ability is also a part of the goal of cultivating talents in colleges and universities.Therefore,as a compulsory college English class,it can also be an effective way to cultivate students’ thinking ability. By reviewing the concept of speculative competence and its absence,this paper focuses on exploring the feasible ways to cultivate students’ speculative competence in college English classes,and further demonstrates that the improvement of students’ speculative competence can promote their CET-4 writing.
