English is one of the most important subjects in junior middle school. Teachers should recognize the importance of English reading. It is a hot topic in the field of education that'core literacy'and'situational teaching'are discussed. In the teaching of English reading,teachers should also pay attention to the cultivation of students’ core literacy. This article talks about how to cultivate students’ core literacy in situational teaching design of junior high school reading class,hoping to play a certain reference and enlightenment role in English reading teaching.
