Early Salt Making with Pottery in Japan,and Group Relations of Geiyo-style Salt-making Pottery in the Seto Inland Sea

一、引言与海洋相关的各种生业中,制盐业因为与祭祀、手工业密切相关,在日本的国家形成过程中促进了其国家性需求。成品盐也成了经济活动中的一项主要品目。本文概观陶器制盐在日本列岛的发展,并通过濑户内海的艺予型制盐陶器来探讨古坟时代社会的集团关系。

This study identifies six stages of the development,rise,and fall of salt making with pottery in the Japanese archipelago and identifies three further stages from the perspective of the expansion of such production,taking the social background into consideration.It also looks at the development of salt making by pottery in the Seto Inland Sea,centered on the Geiyo Islands.
