作为 19世纪末 2 0世纪初崛起的强国 ,德国对于日本影响极大 ,中国亦明显受到德国的影响。本文从中日两国接受德国大学影响的特定角度切入 ,试图探讨在接受外国文化影响的过程中 ,中国和日本的决策层和知识阶层是如何面对并进行抉择的 ,他们所作出的决策和采取的措施又是如何深刻地影响到各自国家的现代化历程的。

Among the powers rising at the turn of 19 century, German greatly influenced Japan, and its influence was also obvious on China. From the angle of German influence on China and Japan, the essay tries to delve into how the decision makers and intellectuals of two countries made choices, facing influence from alien culture and how their decisions and measures profoundly influenced the processes of modernization respectively.
