Classified Directory of Guild Halls in Shanghai

《上海会馆公所分类统计名录》是我们在参与设计《上海会馆史陈列》的展示内容后,在《上海会馆公所见知录》的基础上分行业整理出的上海会馆公所名录。我们初步对它进行了一些行业的分类,以进一步反映当时上海的一些经济行业发展情况。没有按照以前会馆公所的分类方法,而是采用了同乡会馆公所和同业会馆公所两大部分的分类方法。在同业会馆公所部分,为方便读者,还按照行业进行了细分,这样我们也许就可以比较方便地找出各种门类行业中最早的会馆公所,也能对该行业的内部的分工的情况有一个大致的了解。

After we participated in the design of Display of the History of Guild Halls in Shanghai,we compiled Classified Directory of Guild Halls in Shanghai according to different sectors on the basis of Historical Data of Guild Halls in Shanghai.We classify the sectors of the halls so as to better reflect the development of some economic sectors in the then Shanghai.Instead of the previous classification method,we sort the halls into two parts:provincial guild halls and halls of the same sector.In the latter part,we conduct a more detailed division for readers’convenience.In this way,we may probably find out the earliest halls of different sectors more quickly and obtain a general idea of the interior division of work of these sectors.
