摘要
英、美、法诸国在上海建立租界后,按照和约,外国人开始向华民租地。达成协议后,为明确租地的所有权与界限,就在租地四周竖立石碑,通常被称为地界碑。这些石碑上刻有西文、数字,有的还刻有年份与中文。本文对B.C.LOT890石碑作简单的介绍。
Having set up relative concessions in Shanghai,British,American and French began to rent out lands to Chinese people according to contracts.Once agreements reached,stone tablets would be erected around the lands in order to clarify the ownerships and boundaries thus were often called boundary tablets.Foreign languages and numbers are inscribed on these tablets,some of which are also inscribed with years and Chinese characters.This article gives a brief introduction to the tablet B.C.Lot890.
