Study on Guan Tianpei’s Escorting the Transportation of Tribute Grain to the North in 1826

清道光六年(1826年)的漕粮海运是清代第一次由政府组织的大规模漕粮海运,关天培任押运委员,乘坐沙船北上参与护航。本文主要以江苏及山东等地的封疆大吏有关此次海运的奏折为主要依据,详细叙述此次海运产生的背景,关天培在漕粮海运押运活动的主要事实以及他所做出的贡献。填补了关天培在上海任职松江府川沙营参将时期的空白。

The transportation of tribute grain by sea in 1826 was the first of its kind organized by the Qing Government,escorted by Guan Tianpei who took a large junk to the North.Based on the memorials regarding the transportation presented by the provincial magnates of Kiangsu and Shantung,this article gives a detailed account of the background of the transportation,the major facts of Guan Tianpei’s escort and his contribution,which supplied the gap when he assumed the post in Chuansha Battalion of Sungkiang Prefecture.
