摘要
根据租地道契,租地人竖立租地界碑,这些界碑一般刻有西文与阿拉伯数字。有些界碑比较容易识别,有些不易识别。本文根据《上海道契》的记载,对英册(英国驻沪总领事签署的)、美册、法册、德册、义册和日册等道契(经上海道台批准)做一番探讨。从这些租地编号的习惯着手,试图规范某些租地界碑的定名,破解一些目前尚无法识别的租地界碑的属性,希冀有助于人们对道契的了解、有助于租地界碑的研究。
According to title deeds,leaseholders erected boundary tablets usually engraved with Western languages and digits,some of which can be recognized easily while some not.Based on the records in Shanghai Title Deed,this article discusses the different title deeds(authorized by Shanghai Taotai)signed respectively by British,American,French,German,Italian and Japanese consul generals in Shanghai.Beginning with the practices of numbering the leaseholds,the article tries to specify the naming of some boundary tablets and crack the attribute of some unidentified tablets at present so that people can learn more about title deeds and further study on boundary tablets.
