'沙船'是中国木帆船四大著名船种之一,它的名称形成有一个逐渐形成的历史过程。本文以查实的文献为依据,证明迄今为止见到的最早'沙船'名称记载的是明嘉靖八年(1529年)。

As one of the great four wooden ship categories,the nome of large junk has a long historical process of formation.This article,based on confirmed documents,demonstrates that so far the name large junk first appeared in 1529(the 8th year of the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty).
