山西北路的潘氏住宅

The Residences of the Pan Family on North Shanxi Road

山西北路分为两段,北段约200米,还留存着一些文物级的建筑,康乐里就是其中之一,2013年被列为上海市第三批不可移动文物。康乐里共有四衖,均为潘氏出钱建造。初期全部为潘氏家人居住,以后陆续其他人入住。本文据现在还居住在潘氏住宅的潘氏后人介绍及有关记载,对该住宅的历史做一个简单叙述。

North Shanxi Road is divided into two sections, and on its northern section about 200 meters long still stand several historic buildings. Kangle Lane is one these buildings, listed as the third batch of immovable cultural relics of Shanghai in 2013, with four alleys all funded by the Pan family. Originally, the entire Lane was dwelled by the Pan family but later other people also lived in gradually. The essay briefly describes this Residence according to the introduction of the descendents of the Pan’s who are still living there and relevant recordings.
