中国民族铅笔制造业诞生于20世纪30年代。此前,铅笔已是国人常用的书写工具,但中国的铅笔市场却一直被洋货垄断。1933年吴羮梅留日归国后,决定创办中国标准国货铅笔厂,首先推出了'飞机牌'铅笔。在支持国货的运动中,中国标准国货铅笔厂的国产铅笔占领了市场,为日后铅笔制造业打下了坚实的基础。

The national pencil industry was born in the 1930s. Actually before that, pencil was already a common writing implement among the Chinese, but the pencil market had always been monopolized by foreign goods. When Wu Gengmei returned from Japan in 1933, he determined to establish China First Pencil Co.,Ltd., producing the Feiji(Airplane) Brand pencil firstly. During the Movement of Buying Chinese National Goods, the domestic pencils produced by this Company captured the market, laying a solid foundation for the future pencil industry.
