摘要
震旦女子文理学院(以下简称震旦女大)由耶稣圣心修女会于1937年在上海创办,是上海第一所和唯一的女子综合性大学,也是天主教在中国设立的第一所女子大学。设有英文系、中文系、教育系、家政系、化学系等。历时14年,培养毕业生395名,学生千余名。作者走访了11位健在的毕业生,倾听她们对母校的美好回忆,再现震旦女大丰富多彩的校园生活。现汇集于此,以飨上海近代教育史和教会教育研究同仁。
Founded by the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Shanghai in 1937, Aurora College for Women was the first and the only comprehensive women’s college in Shanghai as well as the first women’s college founded by Catholic in China, setting up various Departments like English, Chinese, Education, Home Economics and Chemistry. During 14 years, the College fostered 395 graduates and thousands of students. The author interviewed 11 graduates and listened to their sweet memories of their Alma Mater, representing the colorful campus life of the College. Those memories are collected in this essay for the colleagues researching on Shanghai’s modern educational history and Missionary education.
