外担子菌属的真菌在亚洲、北美、欧洲及大洋洲都有分布 ,世界记载约有 5 0种 ,引起 5科木本植物的细胞增生性和肥大性病害 ,其症状类型多 ,这可能与植物激素含量的变化有关 .

The genus of exobasidium can be found in Asia,North America and Oceania.There are 50 recorded types in the world,causing the cell multiplication and cell hypertrophy of five woody plants.The fact that the symptoms have so many types is probably related with the hormone content of the plant.
