English movies are the collection of language knowledge,language skill,social situation and cultural tradition,which are direct,visual,colorful and entertaining.The purpose of putting English movies into English teaching is to create a good circumstance for the students to learn English,understand the cultural differences between the East and the West and enhance their communicative competence.According to the practical teaching,this article makes a full survey on the advantages,current situation and practical strategies of putting English movies into English teaching.
