摘要
毗邻长滩市中心核心区和东村艺术区的林敦第四街创意工坊代表了城市老化街区的新旧交融互补。通过对3栋废弃的建筑物的适应性再利用,将其改造成围绕着中央步道和公共庭院的8个创意办公和商业场所,更新了原有的结构,使现代建筑特征与历史元素有机结合。其遵循了多种可持续设计原则,也是第一个自愿遵循城市绿色建筑政策的项目。
Set in the East Village Arts District in Downtown Long Beach, 4th+Linden represents a complementary blend of old and new. The effort consisted of transforming three conjoined derelict buildings into eight creative office suites and retail spaces arranged around a central paseco and courtyard. The project incorporated historic elements of the existing buildings while introducing contemporary architectural features. It also features various sustainable design principles and was the first project that voluntarily adhered to the city' s Green Building Policy.
