Vandusen Botanical Garden Visitor Centre, designed by Perkins+Will Architect and inspired by the organic forms and natural systems of a native orchid, is tailored to its natural context, which meets the requirements of sustainable development, creates a harmonious balance between built and natural landscapes, and demonstrates the positive co-evolution of natural and artificial systems. The sustainable strategies applied in this project include sustainable site selection, on-site renewable sources, water saving, and natural ventilation.
