Sequoia is a database cluster middleware that provide clustering, load balancer and tolerance to heterogeneous databases. It is an open source code project and the continuation of the C-JDBC project. It is a kind of database clustering method, including datum synchronization, replication, and recovery. The flexible architecture of Sequoia supports large and complex database cluster architectures offering various performance, fault tolerance and availability tradeoffs.
