摘要
BGP协议是网络中最流行的域间路由协议之一,其具有路由控制机制丰富、稳定、安全的特点。BGP协议中路由选择受从相邻路由发出的UPDATE消息影响,由于AS选择各自的路由策略,这可能会导致收敛时间过长,丢失AS的数据包。采用调整MRAI定时器值的方式能实现减少收敛时间的效果,但也会带来如广播风暴这样的危害。该文提出了一种基于坏消息传的缓慢而好消息传播快的BGP快速收敛机制,通过修改不同类别消息的定时器值实现快速收敛。通过SSFnt工具仿真验证了该机制可以大幅减少收敛时间并在一定程度上减少冗余数据包的结论。
The BGP protocol is the most popular protocol in the inter-domain routing, it has plenty of routing control mechanisms,to provide a stable and secure scheme. The attribute information of BGP routing depends on UPDATE messages received from theadjacent routing contained in the AS. It allows each AS routing strategy, which may lead to the convergence time is too long, theloss of AS packets. By modifying the MRAI timer value can reduce the convergence time in a certain extent, but also may have anegative impact on the broadcast storm. In this paper, we proposed a BGP fast convergence mechanism by modifying the timer depending on the message type based on the concept that the bad news travels slowly while the good news travels quickly in the Internet. By simulating our mechanism on the SSFnt, it draw the conclusion that it can greatly reduce the convergence time, as well asreducing the redundant packets to some extent.
