摘要
委婉语是英语中的一种重要修辞手段,本文从委婉语的两个方面——夸张性委婉语和缩小性委婉语着手,进一步探讨了委婉语的表达形式及其功能,以期使英语学习者对其有较为全面的了解。
Euphemism is a significant rhetorical device in English.This paper starts with two aspects of euphemism: exaggerating euphemism and narrowing euphemism;then it has further studied its styles of expression and functions in order to give a detailed analysis to the English learners.
